Based off one of our most popular StratocasterĀ® necks, our Allparts Select āMOD Specā quartersawn roasted maple half paddle neck is pre-carved to more contemporary specs with a half-paddle headstock thatās pre-drilled for 6-in-line modern tuning keys, taking out the guess work of where the tuners should be laid out but still offer a headstock you can customize with your own design.Ā Featuring 21 tall/narrow frets, a 10ā fretboard radius, and wider 1-11/16ā nut width for comfort and playability, all this neck is missing is your own personal design carved into its headstock!
Why Quartersawn and Roasted?
Quartersawn wood blanks offer enhanced stability vs. the flatsawn neck blanks most necks are manufactured from.Ā Roasting the wood further enhances stability by reducing the moisture content down to around 7%.Ā The result is a more-resonant neck thatās stronger and less susceptible to changing weather conditions.Ā Ā Ā
